"Child's Need" - New Nonoriddle

The 6x6 nonoriddle "Child's Need" is up. It requires a solving method that I haven't used before; hopefully, it won't put off anyone trying one for the first time.

Three people submitted times for last week's "Skin Tone": Jetzm at fifty-one seconds; david3x3x3 at one minute thirty-nine seconds; and joefendel at two minutes three seconds. Answers buttons are up... does anybody use them, I wonder?

I have gotten some nice feedback on these puzzles, for which I am very grateful. However, I hope that if anyone has any criticisms that they would be just as willing to share those with me as well. It won't hurt my feelings; I'd rather know what weaknesses exist so that I can improve on them, than have a false sense of security. Plus, I'm allowed to disagree :)

No criticisms about the puzzles themselves just yet, but one about the mechanics. I find it's very useful to be able to highlight the numbers once I've marked them in the grid when solving nonoriddles. Any chance of getting that functionality?

It's funny... I was just thinking about adding that, but wasn't sure if anybody would use it. Now I know!
